Offers

Standing "want to buy" offers can be created by users who desire a lower discount rate than what's currently listed. Unlike "Offers" on other marketplaces, Vexy Offers are not limited to individual NFTs or existing listings. They are global offers indicating that you are willing to spend up to X amount of AERO at Y discount.

This novel feature allows for the demand side of the order book to be established. Traditional NFT marketplaces lack this critical element necessary to foster a healthy exchange and reliable liquidity for these assets. Offers allow sellers to instantly sell veAERO instead of listing and waiting for a buyer to make a purchase.

How to place an offer

To place an offer, select the green "Make Offer" button and input your budget in AERO along with your desired discount percentage. You’ll be asked to submit two transactions in order to create your offer: approve funds and make offer. It’s possible for your offer to get partially filled by smaller NFTs that don't max out your budget. In this case, the remainder of your offer will remain open. You will only be charged for the amount of veAERO you receive. Your offer will expire after 60 days. How to accept an offer

The easiest way to accept an offer is to navigate to "My Portfolio" from the header menu. Under "My NFTs" you will see a list of the veAERO NFTs you own along with the best existing offer for each NFT. Select "sell now" to instantly sell your NFT into that offer. You will be prompted to review and confirm before proceeding with the transaction. Note, it is possible your NFT(s) may not meet the criteria of existing offers at any given time.

You can also view the global list of offers on the dapp homepage by selecting the "Offers" tab. There, you will see an overview of all offers, which may or may not pertain to any of your NFTs. From there, you can select "Accept Offers" and you will be taken your portfolio page to complete the transaction. If "Accept Offers" is disabled, you don't currently own any qualifying NFTs.
